The
English Language Institute (ELI) at the College of Staten Island/The City
University of New York (CUNY) will celebrate International Education
Week 2020 between November 16 and November 19 with
presentations from different countries. ELI participating students are from
Brazil, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Vietnam. ELI will organize its ELI
Culture Day broadcasting live presentations during this week on its Facebook
page: EnglishinNewYork.
Students
will prepare their work during their Intensive English Program where they are
currently learning English as a Second Language. ELI teacher, Erika Anderson,
will lead the group teaching how to give a speech, how to speak in public, and
how to use the language accordingly for this type of presentations.
ELI Culture Day has been one of the
most important activities during the semesters on campus. However, students
will now have the opportunity to present for a broader audience when they go
live on Facebook. Having the ELI Culture Day during the International Education
Week 2020 will be a great opportunity to show what our students do during the
online English program and how much they have learned. The English Language Institute at CSI looks
forward to having a great audience during this event.
